How Our Drug Rehab in Georgia Works

At North Atlanta Behavioral Health, we employ a variety of holistic and evidence-based therapies to help our patients recover. Our therapeutic modalities are designed to bring about lasting change by not simply focusing on symptoms but addressing the root cause and developing new thought patterns and behaviors that can replace old destructive habits.

We believe that all aspects must be explored—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual—for true healing to occur. Our individualized treatment plans combine traditional treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, with alternative approaches like meditation, yoga, and art therapy.

Additionally, we offer team activities that focus on trust building while teaching skills needed to create meaningful relationships with others in sobriety. At North Atlanta Behavioral Health, each patient is treated as an individual with unique needs. Therefore it is our goal to provide a combination of modalities that meets an individual’s specific requirements for recovery success.

    Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) consists of high-structured daily individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Each session is designed to provide our patients with the skills needed to maintain sobriety in a home setting while coping with living in the community. While attending PHPs, patients will visit our facility daily, Monday through Friday, and return home in the evenings.

    Daytime Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our daytime Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides our patients the tools and resources to stay sober while functioning in everyday scenarios. Our IOP consists of group and individual sessions designed to motivate personal growth by teaching emotional regulation skills, effective communication, and conflict-resolution techniques.

Additionally, our certified counselors provide a safe space for discussing triggers and other potential relapse scenarios giving each patient insight to better navigate their new lifestyle without alcohol or drugs. Patients in our daytime IOP attend sessions Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, allowing them time to work or manage other commitments in the afternoons and evenings.

    Evening IOP

Our evening IOP provides the same level of care as our daytime IOP, with the added flexibility of allowing people to manage their daytime commitments and responsibilities. Sessions are held Monday through Thursday from 6 pm to 9 pm.
